Veterinarian
Dr. Gretchen was born and raised right here in central Illinois! She has been with the Green Prairie family since her early college years as an assistant. She graduated Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine and began practicing at the San Jose location focusing on mixed animal practice. After several years of experience, her focus and passion have shifted towards small animals, surgery in particular. She resides most at our Sherman location. Professionally, she enjoys a challenging surgical case and loves gaining knowledge daily so she can be a local asset and pets don’t have to travel far to get specialized care.
Outside the office, Dr. Gretchen owns a show cattle business with her husband and three wild boys- Weston, Grayson and Braylon. They show multiple breeds competitively across the country. She spends most of her time keeping her boys out of trouble while also taking them to sporting events and cattle shows. She also enjoys working out, landscaping/gardening and baking.
